Testing Data #1888

Hello OWID team,

Thanks for the effort of compiling the testing data.

There are few countries' testing data have stopped updating/not updated as per the local source. For example:

  1. Laos: OWID has stopped update the data since 6 July, but the local government source has the latest testing data. Local source: https://app.powerbi.com/view?r=eyJrIjoiM2JkZWRhNTQtNDY5YS00YWM3LWI4ZjUtNmExM2VmZDM4YjU5IiwidCI6ImNkOWNiOGVjLWU2MjEtNDcyYS05NzlhLTU0OWFiNWJhMjQ3MCIsImMiOjF9

  2. South Africa: OWID has stopped update the data daily since 31 July, but there is daily report from local source. Local source: https://sacoronavirus.co.za/category/daily-cases/

  3. Turkey: OWID has stopped update the data since 3 July, but there is daily number of tests updated in the local source. You may refer to the "Number of Testes Today" column from the source. Local source: https://covid19.saglik.gov.tr/TR-66935/genel-koronavirus-tablosu.html

  4. Brazil: There is a local source with more up-to-date data, you may refer to https://opendatasus.saude.gov.br/dataset/casos-nacionais

  5. Bulgaria: OWID has stopped the daily new testing data since 18 July, but the new test data is still updated in the local source. You may refer to the "Laboratory tests" section for the data. Local source: https://coronavirus.bg/bg/statistika

Appreciate you could consider the local source provided for the testing data updates.

Although this issue is closed, just to avoid open a new issue with same purpose, hope you able to see this.

I notice that the Mongolia testing data is stopped updating in OWID, I have found a alternative official website to update the data, you may consider it as your source. Local source: https://www1.e-mongolia.mn/covid-19
