Azerbaijan Vaccination Update

Hey! I am new to GitHub. I wanted to update the Azerbaijan vaccination figures(since they haven’t been for a few days even though new vaccination figures are released). I would like to know how I could contribute to this program by updating the Azerbaijan Vaccination Figures from the latest data.

Hi @TheRalacator. Thanks for your interest in contributing to this project!

Country data can be updated in two major ways:

• Manually based on official statements
• Automatically, whenever the country publishes the data periodically (dashboard, tracker, etc.)

To see which countries have been automated and which not so far, please refer to file automation_state.csv.

For manual updates, you can report the new data in https://github.com/owid/covid-19-data/issues/230 (also, read the thread description for more details).

For automated updates, if you want to contribute, we'd expect you to prepare a python script that automatically scraps the source, processes the data, and exports the data in the appropriate format. More info in https://github.com/owid/covid-19-data/issues/250. An example script could be italy.csv

Thank you for your advice! I updated some new things on the Azerbaijani vaccine program. The source is from the Government of Azerbaijan.

No problem, thanks to you for the valuable input 😄. Having a quick look at the link you provided, I would estimate that an automated script could be prepared. I may try to do it later if nobody has already done it by then.

Yes an automated script can be created via the link I provided. If not then I can give the updated daily numbers and you can add them to the official data(I don’t think I was able to edit the official data).
