Grant Access Failes #115

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Attempt to Grant Access to SMS Backup+

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Access granted. Instead, the Grant Access page just refreshes. When I return to
the program, the Connect box is checked, but when I try Backup, it says I need
to connect to Google. In My Account on Google, SMS Backup+ does not appear as
approved.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
SMS Backup+ 1.0.4 on Android 2.1 on Samsung Moment, rooted w/ Joey's kernel

very similar problem with LG optimus except my page refreshes and pulls up an
out going message box. And when I close it and go back to the app it shows I
still need to connect.

Is this going to be fixed. I have the same issue. Cannot get passed granting
access and cannot see this app in settings so that I can use it. If this is a
google thing it is getting very annoying.

The issue appears to be that as Google says (go to My Account / Connected Apps
& Sites), this application uses "less secure sign-in technology". Allowing the
application to connect anyway solves the problem. I would love to know what
this allegedly substandard technology is, if it is a real problem, and if it
will get fixed.
