Did not back up all messages 1st time back up

Hi 

I am using a HTC Magic - have just installed SMS Backup and the first time I 
entered my login and password info for gmail it worked fine. Then prompted me 
as to whether or not I wanted to back up all messages on phone. I accepted and 
a notice said that they would be bundled in groups of 100 - but only about 18 
messages have arrived in my gmail account whereas I have about 3 years of 
messages on the phone.

I know I'm a bit naive to have assumed that they would all arrive and of course 
the reason for backing up first was to save myself this problem now that I've 
done a hard reset and lost all my messages. 

Any kind souls out there who can help me figure out if the messages are 
retrievable?

I am having the same issue.  Only a portion of my messages are showing up in 
Gmail, and I cannot get the application to "run" again.  I have more than 100 
messages to back up (though not years worth - just a couple months).  The 
application 'stalled' for a period of time; when i went into my "settings" and 
viewed the application details, it started again, but then stalled again.  I 
turned my phone off then on again - still no activity.  It's as if I cannot get 
the application to run.

I am using a Samsung 4G SideKick (big mistake in and of itself).
