have a projet that uses visii as a submodule, and see lots of cmake flags that this project wouldn't want to care about ...

Are you talking about CMake build flags here? Or something else?

I should probably make an example that submodules visii for use in a C++ scenario. Once I have that, I can probably start to troubleshoot some of these issues.
