Note AFAIK, it is not currently possible to convert OWL files that require 
imports (although perhaps there's a flag I'm missing?)

Would it be possible to get obo2owl conversion to follow owl import statements 
before converting? Having the results dumped into one big converted OBO file 
would be fine.

changed to high priority, but it's not a trivial issue. the part of the spec 
that deals with imports and converting imports needs some work.
