Did you ever do more work on this library, or would I be best just running SJCL through Rhino?

Currently it is not maintained. I'm not sure if I would like to keep working on it; I'm not too happy with the state of JS cryptography and I'm not sure I want anyone following that path. I could take a look at it in the future as there seem some people take interest. Use Rhino for now, at least SJCL is officially maintained.
