so as @dmkscr and i already suggested severial possible improvements like in #114 #123 #121 and #113.

it is our general intention to enhance the usability and have the focus on working on the document itself. so reducing the functions and their visual realization is a key for better workflow and no distraction from the actual work.

as the current status ( #92 ) is using the webODF editor as model the question is how much will there be implemented in OC?

and if #92 is the current status: what can still be kicked out e.g. tab button?

also if our suggestions were to be actually realized like the user index or the additional paragraph button there is a need to revise the order and design of the header bar to have as much function within little space and most functional visualization!

Dropdown menu - I like the idea. Some suggestions:

• It could contain their names in black (colored text is a bit garish IMO ;-) ) and little squares indicating their color/avatar image.
• Perhaps 'typing' statuses beside each person.
• The menu could have a non-editable text-box to copy a URL to the session.

Contextual formatting tooltip - I'm all for it! Perhaps it would make a lot of sense if we do a 'fullscreen'/distraction-free mode.

i totally agree on the names and typing status. which is why i changed the mock up and added the colors to every user so even the offline user colors are shown (hierachy: black = online, dark grey = inactive, light grey = offline).

about the url of the document it is still implemented as the sharing function as it s now but shown within the users index box at the end. so to add more users or share the document externally.

@jancborchardt I have earned enough Dojo skills to override WebODF toolbars with something OC-looking and can start with a new header this or next week. Is the sketch in https://github.com/owncloud/documents/issues/126#issuecomment-28499140 ok from your POV?

it would be great to have some feedback on https://github.com/owncloud/documents/issues/126#issuecomment-63322312 As these mockups are not counting a default blue header background and white logo on it.
