References: #903 (Slim down and reduce complexity of the 'env-and-yaml' handling)
Attributes used needed a refactoring as there were some legacy things still present and attribute name to usage intention was not longer 1:1
With this PR, these changes help to read and understand some internal structures and usages much better. It is now also future proof.
