Fix rendering commands including proper resolving an attribute #1371

Based on a feedback of @DeepDiver1975, the unit testing page in the dev docs had issues rendering commands and resolving an attribute used. This is now fixed.

Locally tested, renders fine.

Backport to 10.15 and 10.14

As said, locally tested, renders fine. I can upload a preview to staging if you want to have a rendered look on it.
