This non free bits are embedded by the camera, and useless in this context.

I’ve been explicitly asked to propose a PR for this issue in https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/8627

Refusing to strip away non-free data, in violation with the license you are claiming to distribute those files, just because someone in the future may introduce by error this kind of non-free data again seems like an overlook of the issue.

I would appreciate if you could reconsider your position on https://github.com/owncloud/documentation/pull/345 as well, for the reasons explained in https://github.com/owncloud/core/issues/8627
