Transcoding #428

I store my music in a lossless format on my server. But for streaming it would be nice to have the ability to transcode to mp3 or aac while playing in the browser.

Same here ! It would be great to choose the format/quality of transcoding.

It would also be nice to have transcoding in Ampache and Subsonic API

Any plan to implement this? I badly need transcoding. For now, I'm using Navidrome.

No concrete plans, although one day, I'd like to include this feature. So very unlikely that it would happen during the next few months.
