Remove alarm/event reporting #15

When somebody launches it after 10days inactivity, the bombardment with popups is slow (lots of flashing around) and a bit of a pita.

Events and Alarms are suppressed. Other updates (status, battery, start, gpio, etc.) are still being processed asynchronously.
