application does not help to remedy error in data file #13

when inputting this data file, Beatrice has an issue as the #--# separator is not found between Chinese and Maths subjects. However, the application does not raise any exceptions or output any messages informing the user of this error, and instead just ignores the field. again they mentioned this in their UG:

but they also contradict themselves in the FAQ:

the user is misinformed on how to actually rectify their data file, since no output is given when the application is launched to help them rectify it

As seen in your screenshot above, the editable components of the file types are completely different.

In the screenshot below:

It refers to the process file, which is the file used for process command. This warning is situated under the process command part, and thus is only applicable to that file as seen here:

Reason for disagreement: while i agree with the team's response, they also did not clarify on the issue raised in the bug report, which is regarding the application not informing the user on how to rectify their corrupted data file. the application is launched with a corrupt data file, but there are no instructions on screen to inform the user on how to rectify it, which is contrary to the FAQ described in the UG. there is a mismatch in the expected and actual behavior of the application, hence i believe it justifies the validity of the bug, with a severity level of low.
