After setting the ODBC status of one of my projects on Staging to 'on', I clicked the link in the email to set my password. Rather surprisingly, I got a message telling me I wasn't registered with ORDS! (Screenshot below.)
I think this may have happened because I was logged into ORDS using Chrome, but my default browser for opening links from emails is Firefox. Hence ORDS opened in a browser that I wasn't logged in to - though despite the 'not registered' message, it then let me log in without any problems (and didn't ask me to register again). When I clicked the link in the email a second time (after logging in on Firefox), it then took me to the right page without telling me I wasn't registered.
However, even if that is the explanation, there's something not right here, as 'not logged in' and 'not registered' are not the same thing.
