Moderation Tools request for Open Groups- Feature request

As a heavy moderator of the Session Open groups V2, I would like to request the following features, so that the channels can be best moderated and to continue to deliver a safe, friendly and valuable community space.

Tools for Moderators:

• Ban User and Delete Message + option to Delete all messages if they were a spammer. Similar to how Telegram works. This would be probably the most valuable tool for moderators at this time.
• Timeout users if they are being mildly bad in the channel, 4 hours - 1 week and let them know they are timed out, so they don't think Session is having issues.
• User restrictions, such as Audio files, Pictures, Videos, files and Posting Links in the Community channels. Or like a white list of users can post this content?
• This is the least requested of the bunch, but could be handy to stop spammers- Shadow bans

Telegram has some good moderation tools to use as a reference

Tools for Users

• Report pictures messages and pictures to admins, or swarm reporting Community channels. Eg, if 20 people report post, post is hidden

This would be very useful considering on how truly open session is. Just like with any platform, there will always be bad actors in place and moderation tools are needed to at least try and get rid of them.

I think that there should be some kind of voting system that would indicate that this user behaves incorrectly and the users of the group will no like it.

When talking about open groups, we already need someone to run the server for the public group. This means, the group has an owner anyway who we have to trust in some way.

Ban voting? Sounds good on one hand, but on the other a malicious individual could still create many accounts and would then have more votes than is legitimate.

Yea, you right, but it's still better than nothing, and it will complicate the process.

it is quite possible to come up with an additional check for the bot.

Some of this will be implemented as of the next round of releases. Specifically:

• An endpoint to ban a user and simultaneously delete all messages they've sent. • We now have some rate limiting on message sending.

More improvements coming in the future.
