how to add in rendered date into the text? #17

Trying to get it to render the date.. and its not working and ive tried lots of things..

But nothing seems to work.. if i try r Sys.Date() and when i render it just gives me the code and not the actual date. I am missing something!! any ideas? @catalamarti
