chrome-toolbox breaks when multiple profiles are opened #103

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Open Chrome with profile A
2.Open Chrome with profile B

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Both profiles should have a working chrome toolbox extension. Instead, the
extension works in the first open profile but is broken/bland in the next
profile opened.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
17.0.963.79 Stable; Latest Dev Version as of 3/12/12

Please provide any additional information below.
I've tried mutliple actions to correct this including:
-reinstalling chrome
-reinstalling the plugin
-disabling adblock/adblock plus, web developer addon and others.
-testing on stable, dev, and canary versions
-tested in a clean virtual machine with server 2003 and windows xp sp3

Nothing so far has worked. I'm currently running Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.

Same problem. My workaround is to disable the extension on one profile and
enable it on the other, and switch back when needed, until a fix is issued.

I'm thinking it's a dead project at this point, which is a shame since it's "by
Google".
