Default to system dark/light settings, and react to changes. #29

I thought this hiring experiment was kind of fun! I learned a lot from reading the job descriptions, so I thought I would contribute (although I'm not looking) while learning a bit about dark mode CSS and JS.

Since the description is concise, I thought the best way to explain what this patch does would be to attach a screencast. There are the three browsers open. From left to right:

1) The user hasn't selected dark or light 2) The user has selected light 3) The user has selected dark

There's a terminal window and the preferences app to show the system state. The screencast is a zip file because that's the only way to attach it.
