Icon pack support #20

I'm probably the only one, but I actually use this launcher just for standard tablet use because I don't have a ton of apps. I just use it for browsing the web and playing some games from the Play Store. I don't even emulate on it lol.

I'd like to use Arcticons for some of my apps so it kind of blends in with the style, but as of right now this isn't a feature.

Edit: Actually the Snow icon pack on F-Droid is way better suited for this

I'm glad you're enjoying Ox Shell. It is not currently possible to use third party apps to apply an icon pack, this is true. But it is possible to change the icon of any home item except for the settings items. It is quite a bit of manual work since you would have to do each home item individually. Use the following steps:

It is not clear that this is a feature, but I intend to make the launcher more user friendly in the future. In the meantime you can find more tutorials in this youtube playlist.

Actually I did see that as an option, it was in the place I expected it to be, however I was expecting to be able to apply an icon pack icon from that menu as well.

So as far as I'm concerned, the UX for that is fine, but it would be cool to see icon pack support in the future. Like I said in the original issue, if you check out the Snow icon pack from F-Droid it sorta fits the theme which is cool

I see, well for now you'll have to apply them manually by getting the icons you like as image files and using the procedure I laid out in my previous comment. I'll keep this issue open as a reminder to add icon pack support in the future, but it'll likely be a while before that happens.

I'm not terribly concerned about using an icon pack, I just thought it would be a cool addition eventually. But yeah the UX for it I think is fine just so you know
