One thing that I frequently "misuse" is that when I open VidCutter and see the "Open media to Begin" canvas, my first reaction is to always click that canvas/text to get started loading the media, and then I remember I have to navigate down and click the button instead.
My guess is that making that an entry point for loading media would be great and make the tool easier to use, I might even implement it myself if you think it's worthy, but I'm opening the issue first to hear feedback :)
