[FR] Hotkey for renaming files and directories #148

Hey there! I have a feature request for you. Can we add a hotkey for renaming files and directories? I think it would be super convenient for users who frequently work with files and folders.

My recommended hotkey would be F2. Thanks!

I believe there is a hotkey slot available for this in the hotkeys settings.

Recently Obsidian added the ability to rename from the file explorer on MACS using the enter key, which is the system default. However, this is not settable using the hotkeys, and it would be nice if FT would follow this convention as well.

@ksdavidc I found it now that you mention it. This works with the current file only.

Implementing an alternative F2 behavior would mainly make sense with keyboard controls in the file tree. In that case, you'd navigate with the arrow keys and toggle folders with the enter key. This would be a separate feature request, though.
