This should prevent dates from being updated when writing files. Very quick sketch, happy to help flesh out if you're interested.

Hi @sheeley, I made a few changes and implemented your idea within the new release. However, I kept it optional since some people might still want to update the mtime during the link conversion. They have option within the plugin settings. Thanks a lot for your suggestion!
