gTLDregistries will need to have its address field broken up intelligently
registrars will need to have the domain names broken up using space chars
if there's difficulty with the above files, refer back to the original excel file from which they were derived, here
Sheet 1 has all the gTLD and the registries responsible for them. Sheet 2 has all registrars which are authorized by the first (the registries) to sell names under the gTLD they control.
E.g.: Verisign controls .COM. Sheet 2 shows all of the accredited companies which can sell names under .COM. So, if a user wants to register donblairisacooldude.com, he/she has to look for one of those accredited companies. Capisci?
I believe that sheet #2 has to be reorganized, for now it says
COMPANY - COUNTRY - .com .net .biz .etc
Despite of the fact that they are alphabetically organized, I think that to make things simpler, it has to be something like
.COM - COMPANY #1 - COUNTRY
COMPANY #2 - COUNTRY
And that's a humongous amount of work. But... that's the way it is. Ideally, we should work with the tables the way they are. Maybe we could set up a meeting with the CS people (Prof. Hanna Wallach, e.g.) to see what they can teach us.
