Pat found that the two KAP'n Hooks holding the Picavet line to the kite line were slipping. I have not had this problem. I adjust each hook, but I must not have done a good job on Pat's. Or maybe his kite line is thinner than mine. Consult the lead image here to ensure that you are clipping the line in properly. There are two adjustments to make the hooks hold tighter. Consult the first panel in the image above to see how far the hook part should protrude in front of the double wires when at rest. A pair of pliers can bend the hook part forward or back. Then you can adjust the distance between the double wires where the hook part slides between them. A pair of pliers can squeeze the two wires together, but not too far or the hook will not slide easily between them. Let me know if you can't get them to grip well.
