Hello and thank you for the great app ❤️!

I have a question is it possible to cut parts in slicer?

p3d-dev commented 1 year ago

Hello,

thanks for the proposal and no, Print To 3D currently does not offer any CSG operation like cutting. Which kind of cutting would you need ? Cut along a plane or any simple shape ?

I know this function from Flashprint Slicer from Flashforge. They have implemented it very well. Maybe you can do the same for yourself?

So you would need just cutting with a plane. Thanks for the clarification and we add it to our todo-list.

That's great. Thank you very much!

We will keep this issue until implementation is complete. First investigations have revealed, that cutting is easily done. The difficulty is to close the hole in the mesh afterwards. This will take some time.

Just to state, that this issue is not forgotten.

In order to cut a mesh, the mesh must be good. So the current focus is to clean/fix a mesh. First steps are in the latest v3.16.
