I solved the problem myself. After downloading the MSFileReaderx64 (SP4) software the ‘fregistry_x64.dll’ file was missing after installation (File location = C:\Program Files\Thermo\MSFileReader). I solved this problem by downloading and installing the SP2 version of MSFileReader and working with this version. I also tried using the ‘fregistry_x64.dll’ file acquired in de SP2 version and transfer it to the correct location after installation of the SP4 version of MSFile Reader.
I am trying to analyse some UV-crosslinking - tandem MS/MS data in search of peptide-peptide crosslinks and I'm having some trouble setting up my analysis. After filling in all parameters, pLink2 gets stuck at the following step: [pLink] Start searching C:\Users\iande\OneDrive\Bureaublad\pLink\20200304_sam_08_HCDFT.pf2, Labeling None
I made sure all the required files exist and are in their designated folder, I tried moving my files from the D: drive to the C:drive and I made sure I have the latest version of MSFileReader. I am working with windows 10 and pLink v2.3.9
When I try to run my pParse via cmd.exe as suggested in issue 68 (see command below), it replies with 'access denied' C:\pFindStudio\pLink\2.3.9\bin>pParse.exe D:\Bureaublad\Thesis Ian 2019-2020\MaxQuant\MS ruw\20200304_sam
Any suggestions as to how to solve my problem?
