Drop down Menu disappears after a while #1039

Describe the bug

(a clear and concise description of what the bug is.) Menu on Top, drop down menu, it disappears after a while and all a user can do is view their own profile.

To Reproduce Just go on the site and work around the dropdown menus and it will happen

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to '...'
  2. Click on '....'
  3. Scroll down to '....'
  4. See error

Perhaps it should be considered to add an option to have drop down menu, or just a normal on web page menu of options like Chat-Message-Photo etc.. This is a fatal flaw in the software. I have encountered this error since I installed 17.2. about a month ago.

With this error when the menu goes all a user can do is edit and view their own profile and thus can no longer interact with the other users. When the menu goes away a user can only look at their profile and thus the bug is fatal.
