Allowing to rotate photos for "picture" module #588

It would be great to add a JS plugin that allows users to rotate their pictures.

The plugin needs to modify the image and then save it to the storage folder of the "picture" module.

The ability to drag the picture on upload to the best position in the avatar square would be also great to have!

Another nice feature would be the ability to drag the picture on upload to the best position in the avatar square. Most pictures are rectangular. With center alignment it happens frequently that heads gets cut off. Unfortunately not all website users are capable to crop the picture before uploading it. I changed already from center alignment to top alignment what gives a slightly better results, but not in all cases.

Hi @pH-7, another question. How can I make contributions?

Great idea! I will take it into account.

Great question! Do you mean how to become a contributor to make these kinds of features as a developer? Or do you mean something else?

Exactly! I would like to know how I can contribute as developer. Now it's maybe a little bit early because I'm still learning. You know that it's not really easy if you don't have experience in web development, but I hope that in near future I can help already a little bit.

I made several adaptations, many of them are application specific where other modifications could be of common interest. Who knows.

How about the majority of users? Do they use the software as it is or do they adapt the SW to their requirements?

This feature is needed! The amount of images that are uploaded and left sideways is unreal!
