This is my attempt to get a single script working that gets me from current state over to Netflix up and running on my Primary TV.

Some apparent defects:

  1. Triggers ok on boot of AD, but not on subsequent attempts.
  2. Doesn't select the correct source on the Roku.

More refinement required prior to merge.

I have decided that it is time to merge this branch back into master, and to do that despite the fact that I don't quite yet have everything working as intended. I will ensure there's an Issue in place to record the incomplete work.

Fundamentally - I have integrated the Broadlink platform, and have it learning IR codes, and talking to the LG TV and the Roku. This is reliable, and working.

The residual issues are all related to the AD, and I mentioned that in the most recent commit on this Branch.

Using AD has been wonderful. And although I haven't mastered it yet - it's clear that this is what I should be using in future for any significant workflow / automation behaviour.
