Pump Shotgun ADS Sprite Vertical Offset #946

Open BigJohnexe opened 2 years ago

BigJohnexe commented 2 years ago

When aiming down the sight on the pump shotgun, no matter what other mod I am currently using, will have the weapon sprite shifted slightly down to the point that I must use an external program to add in a custom crosshair. The shot is still centered as normal, however.

We shall look into this, however you shouldn't need an external tool to get a crosshair. There's an option within pb for custom crosshairs. Disable it and then enable force crosshair within gzdoom's settings. Pb adds a bunch of extra crosshairs that you can pick from.

It does seem like the PB Shotgun's ADS sprites are slightly lower than where the bullet hits, that should probably be addressed

AnnoyingMoose commented 2 years ago

I have also noticed this. Also, the heavy DMR sight has the same problem.

Unfortunately some issues like these have limitations, even Graf himself said that crosshair alignment can have issues. Not a priority to fix

This is an unrelated thread and doesn't involve ads sprites but you might get the point: https://forum.zdoom.org/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=52001

Also noticed this when firing at far off baddies. Seems like the further away the point I'm shooting at with slugs, the higher the slug will hit off target.

@Seasonull Will be fixed on the Pump Shotgun Re-Overhaul
