The below (incognito) screenshot is a side-by-side comparison of the homepage:
Left, Production: slideshow with multiple slides
Right, Staging: slideshow with single slide
The blue line points out additional space between the bottom of the slide and the content below it. This part of the bug seems to affect all browsers/OSes:
When slideshows have multiple slides, this doesn't happen:
Part 2
On iOS Chrome only, when the page loads initially, and before scrolling, the slideshow overlaps the content below. When the user scrolls down and up again, the overlap goes away. We are guessing this is related to the popup or cookie notification bar scripts. None of this behavior happens on Android Chrome:
