run_inspector does not work? #1565

User have complained to HORACEHELP that run_inspector does not work. 

Dear Horace Team,

LET users (in Cc) would like to use run_inspector but it is not working. Has something been done to it since I recently reviewed the documentation about it?

I have just tried both Horace 3 and Horace 4 myself and it doesn't work for neither of those versions.

Even if it is not true (can not at the moment reproduce this) it should be able to run on filebacked objects and cut logging should be improved so this ticket will have some commits anyway.
