Make Horace 3 more resiliant against offset #1617

Users who use Horace-3 and Horace-4 simulaniously complain that one accepts offset only and another one -- uoffset only. They need to modify the same script for one or another version of Horace. The work to fix Horace-4 to accept uoffset is ungoing. This thcket is to change Horace-3 to accept offset
