In Wassermann et al. (2024) S5 natural there are estimates of mortality at age by year, from baseline diet composition. But these are M1 plus M2. @kristinmarshall-NOAA suggested doing a sensitivity with recent period of data and older period of data because there is so much uncertainty in the diet. There is a postdoc position being advertised now that might be able to help explore this/these options. @sowasser mentioned that there was a comments from the reviewers about not estimating diet internally, where in theory the data could be split into many chunks of diet data but only looked at two time periods. And, there is no capability to estimate the parameters internally within CEATTLE.
