Notes:
This work has reduced but not entirely eliminated many of the npm warnings. I think the remainder are caused by dependencies' shortcomings; see note 2.
pcic-react-leaflet-components is responsible for holding back the update to React Leaflet >4.0.0 (specifically, 4.2.0). There is a known problem with React Leaflet and so far it has not been solved for our package. For the present moment we are stuck with a hard pin to 4.0.0. Work is ongoing in pcic-react-leaflet-components.
