Hi all,

We're Cloud Native User Group from China, members consist of @tongzh, @wldandan, @iambowen and @lzufengye. We're glad to announce that the first Chinese translated version of docs.pact.io is released at www.pact.net.cn ! All the contents of this site adhere strictly to the original documents published. And the next thing to do may be to interchange the links to each other on both the docs.pact.io and www.pact.net.cn. What kind of formats do you prefer to do that? Please let me know if there're suggestions. Thanks! :)

That's awesome news, thanks everyone!

wldandan commented 7 years ago

Cool. that is awesome~

@tongzh sorry that nobody has followed this up. Are you suggesting putting a link from each of the languages to the other? Sounds like a good idea. I'm not sure where the best place to put it is.

Hello @tongzh , I note the site is no longer available. We are looking to revamp our docs soon, as if you wanted to be involved in Chinese translations and it would be still be useful, this is something we would like to investigate.

Sorry the late replies! Better late than never :)

Hello @YOU54F , sorry due to some reasons, this site can not provide services. I'll try to follow the latest docs in the future, but I can not provide the Chinese translations until that. Will let you know if anything updated, thanks!

I found the original repo,

https://github.com/wldandan/pact-reference-guide-zh

What is google translate like OOB? I've found a fairly good experience with it, in foreign content translations but without being a native speaker its hard to tell how much is lost in the translation

YOU54F commented 2 years ago

we've use i18n for translations in a previous place and they are able to be used in docusaurus

https://docusaurus.io/docs/i18n/introduction

there is already Chinese translations for the main docusaurus themes

https://github.com/facebook/docusaurus/issues/3526#issuecomment-769817299

and algolia will allow you to search across or individual localisations dependent on your browser settings as well.

Food for thought definitely
