Generating changelog automatically #309

Work still needs to be done to generate better changelog. But this is significant work in progress toward automated changelog as required by #237

Happy to clean the code/update things, so please review @iincer

Changelog is working as expected. Added instructions to CONTRIBUTING.md on how to write commit messages to help with automatic changelog generation. Ready for review @iincer.
