We need to track log books that are issued and we need to give each log book a number and associate it with an individual

Can you give me some examples?

I have blank log books in pdf form that I send upon request to anyone with the prereqs that asks for one. BCUAB requires that the log book be stamped and numbered. I have the stamp and I can write any number on it but it we should have that logbook number entered into their db record.

So far I have just issued 1 a 3 star log book to ed hand and gave it logbook #1.

ok, So there are different types of log books. can you send me a list? Should we track the states of the log book? For example, ‘With candidate, received, with BCUAB, approved, etc?’ Do you want to track who signed who’s log book and for what?

Think about how you might want to use this info in the future. For example, you might need to generate a list of everyone currently working on their 3 star logbook, or you might want to generate a list of all log books currently awaiting response from BCUAB. Once a logbook has been reviewed and approved by BCUAB, is there a credential ( ie. 3 star provider ) that the candidate receives that will need to be tracked and associated in some way with that logbook.

3,4,5 star, FSRT, WWSR, coastal nav. That's all I have in the dropbox at the moment.

The question about additional info should go to Shawna and the coaching committee.
