Proposal Padrino Logo #1844

Closed Rendez closed 9 years ago

Rendez commented 9 years ago

Hi, as already discussed in Gitter, we are making the next proposal and opening the discussion for the new Padrino logo that would be tagging along with the release of Padrino 2.0 and the new website @wikimatze is preparing:

Padrino Logo Presentation

What do you think?

WaYdotNET commented 9 years ago

+1

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

Dark, "stylish" and I like the art decor icons and I still like the design and colors of http://padrino.incontentkingdom.com/. Maybe we can merge the two of them. Curious about the other opinions.

Cooool!

nesquena commented 9 years ago

I like that! Thanks for putting that whole thing together, cool to see your design process too!

jrub commented 9 years ago

:+1: cool

daniproud commented 9 years ago

Hi, I wanted to introduce myself. I'm @Rendez's partner (designer at task) doing the Logo design. Thanks a lot for the comments and feedback. @wikimatze What do you mean exactly when you say about merging the two of them? I wanted to leave here the SVG version in case you want to try how it's working on the new website.

Logo Padrino

acrogenesis commented 9 years ago

It's beautiful, I can already imagine a sticker like that on my laptop :+1:

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

@daniproud I mean mixing the fonts, the colors of your screenshot with the rest. I will add the logo right now.

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

Here is a possible new logo inclusion:

index - what do you think?

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

Or this variant with more space

index.

ujifgc commented 9 years ago

It reads Padnino.

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

You are right with the readibility, what about this variant:

index

daniproud commented 9 years ago

Hi...! Concerning the logo, it has been designed to go on a light background because over dark header it loses a lot visibility. Maybe the most easy way to fix that is to put the logo over a grey circle like that:

@wikimatze One question, in what typography is the text "Ruby Framework", beneath the text of Padrino, that is currently in the web? I try merriweather but I would like to try the original :)

daniproud commented 9 years ago

@acrogenesis Yes, I also had it in my mind... ;)

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

@acrogenesis good idea with the sticker, we just have to find somebody to produce them - the logo is already there.

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

@daniproud the font "Ruby Framework" is called Leckerli One - hope this helps you. Can you create the slogan for me with this font, it's a little bit too much for me this evening to get it working with inkscape.

scudelletti commented 9 years ago

@Rendez awesome! :heart:

daniproud commented 9 years ago

@wikimatze Sure, sorry for the delay :)

daniproud commented 9 years ago

@wikimatze :) you're welcome

wikimatze commented 9 years ago

Can we close this issue? I'm fine with the new logo so far.
