Seems good for farming mons / candies, especially since some pokemon will take forever to get a decent amount of candies otherwise. It could be implemented in classic with a wave duration, in terms of name / theme it could be along the lines of a species lure or scent-related. A wave duration system would also easily stack (maybe varying durations / rarities even) If we went with the lure it could easily by visible with the duration left and possibly a sprite for the pokemon. Fusion interactions could be dealt with either by attracting both fusion mons or just the base one, not sure which would be better.
This would be a consumable item similar to the DNA Splicer/TMs/etc. The item should only spawn in Endless Mode or otherwise work vastly different in Classic.
After selecting the item, you are prompted to select a member of your current party. The selected pokemon is released and spawn rates of the Pokemon increase for the current run. There is a cap on how many times this can be done so as to not make spawn rates insane in endless.
The spawn rate increase scales inversely with the Pokemon's base cost. The spawn rate increase would be very low per item use (think something like 0.1% depending on the base cost). The spawn rate would cap at a similarly small number, but not negligible.
Only one Pokemon spawn rate increase can be stored at any given time using this method.
