Can type "tranny" #1

And it's pretty transphobic as far as I know :/

These are the only banned words at the moment. The system does not support adding custom banned words (yet) or bypassing the default list (yet). "tranny" is not in the list of default banned word list, and knowing you previously, I'm going on the assumption this is a troll ticket.

Unless someone else can independently verify that a word is being blocked when it technically (as in the code) shouldn't be, I'm considering this closed.

It is NOT being blocked, and that's the problem. "Tranny" is just not on the list of blocked words, at all, and it's a transphobic word as far as I know...

Then you will be happy to know that in the next build, it will support custom banned words.

For the record, "tranny" is also short form for transmission (as in, the transmission in a car)

ie, "I dropped the tranny out of the car last night"

I cannot predict with 100% certainty every word that could potentially offend someone, or every word that a parent wouldn't want their child to see. What I can do is provide a suggested (https://github.com/pahimar/ChitChat/blob/master/common/com/pahimar/chitchat/configuration/Settings.java#L32) list of bad words, and allow support for customizing it.
