Looks good. Could you please rebase the branch on our hydro-devel?

Something like this:

git checkout -b refactor pal/hydro-devel
git cherry-pick hydro-devel
git push -f origin refactor:hydro-devel

I'll come give you a hand.

@adolfo-rt in the mean time, please review this quickly and make sure this does not interfere with your work too much.
