Hello @yassineyakercap,
Thank you for showing interest in our TIAGo simulation. Regarding your query, right now we don't have any tutorial for Pick and Place on ROS2 Humble. However, if you would like to open a PR writing it based on the ROS1 Tutorials. We would be happy to merge it.
Thank you,
Best Regards, PAL Robotics Team.
Hey again,
Thanks for getting back to me. I'm really interested in diving into the TIAGo simulation and learning more about Pick and Place on ROS2 Humble. However, I have to admit that I'm a beginner in this area and currently lack the skills to put together the demo files and a full tutorial.
But I think it would be amazing if someone, either from your team or the community, could jump in and create this tutorial. Having a step-by-step guide for Pick and Place using MoveIt in ROS2 Humble would not only help me but also others who are looking to grasp MoveIt's functionality in a practical context.
Thanks once again for considering this. Looking forward to exploring and learning more about TIAGo and ROS2.
Cheers, Yassine
Hello @yassineyakercap,
We will try to have it as soon as possible, but we cannot make any promises yet. Thank you for your interest. We are happy to contribute back to the community. Once, we have some resources available, we will work on this part.
Thank you,
Best Regards, PAL Robotics Team.
Hi @saikishor , I am wondering if there is any updates on this?
Hello @cmower,
Unfortunately, we didn't have time to work on this part yet. Feel free to open a PR, we are happy to review and merge them.
Best Regards, PAL Robotics Team
Ok no problem @saikishor, thanks for such a quick response! If we manage to setup then will open a PR.
Thank you for understanding! We will be happy to review them and get them upstream.
Best Regards, PAL Robotics Team
Hi guys,
Hope you're well. I've been digging into your TIAGo robot simulation – awesome work!
I saw the Pick & Place tutorial for ROS 1 (http://wiki.ros.org/Robots/TIAGo/Tutorials/MoveIt/Pick_place), but I'm using ROS 2 Humble. Any plans to drop a similar tutorial for ROS 2 Humble with the demo too ?
Cheers, Yassine
