The Goethe upgrade made this fail due to https://github.com/palantir/goethe/pull/472 bumping the required JDK there to 17. Given that we do not use any tooling on Atlas to selectively bisect dependencies, this excavator will remain in trouble (unless manually actioned) until we move to libraryTarget=17 in Atlas itself.

I am manually undoing the Goethe change so this merges for now.
