7 years ago I think this sounds great, but is it a lot of work? If it is, let's keep it simple for now and just replicate what we are doing, and save the extra work for later if we get done with the tasks already on our to do lists.

7 years ago Generating the rotations is quite easy, even now, and will be even easier and faster once John and I finish the rotation refactor this month (which we have to do for a variety of services and research projects anyway).
Whether it would be difficult to incorporate the maps, once made, into Navigator is something only @vjpsyverson can answer because that's her domain.

6 years ago No, this refactor project is now being funded by FlyoverCountry (yay), but the intern who was going to do it originally lost her work visa. I am looking for a new programmer to do it.

We currently present the continental block polygons and shorelines as part of the service. We could theoretically overlay a lot more information onto the map rotations once the new rotation service is up and running.
e.g.,
I think the education people would love this.
Obviously this could make Navigator quite busy, but I think a simple button to toggle this feature on and off would be enough.
