Save as New button in addition to submit under the edit function

Can we create a "SAVE AS NEW" button under the Edit function? This will allow folks to edit a similar record, but then save the record as new instead of overwriting the existing record.

For example, I'm entering descriptions for all of the type specimens for a particular OTU.

• I create description OTU Claire Type specimen 1 and submit it.
• I go to the Edit function and pull up the Description for OTU Claire Type specimen 1
• I change the name to OTU Claire Type specimen 2
• I update any fields such as notes as appropriate
• I change any states that are unique or additional for Type Specimen 2.
• Instead of clicking SUBMIT, I click SAVE AS NEW.
• Now I have two unique Descriptions: OTU Claire Type specimen 1 and OTU Claire Type specimen 2

This may be useful for the HackAThon, but realize it's an enhancement.

This is a great idea. I think waiting until after the Hackathon to implement this is fine.
