I actually like nanoarrow, but if you want something clever, playing off other themed things like Ballista:

Thank you for this! (Sorry for the delay...I switched the repo to apache/arrow-nanoarrow and stopped checking these issues until now). I'm glad you like 'nanoarrow'...I'm not to fussed about the name but it's nice to have a working title for the purposes of naming functions and macros. I'll keep the name Flechette in mind as other opportunities for naming things comes up!
