Doesn't work for my yubico on MacOS Monterrey #121

I'm using version 0.16 on MacOS 12.5.1. Installed it properly, set up my productId 0x0407 and vendorId 0x1050. Doesn't disable the yubico when I choose to disable thru the app. I also tried the terminal command.

Hey @konoufo, did you have a previous version of the app installed before? If so can you please try uninstalling using the instructions here and let me know if that helps?

No it's my first time installing the app.

I'm running macOS 12.6, just followed the uninstall instructions and reinstalled, same pid and vid, same behavior. It's like Yubiswitch does nothing. Also validated accessibility preference is set in privacy.

davidrothera commented 1 year ago

@tylercal can you remove and re-add the application in the Privacy section and try that?

davidrothera commented 1 year ago

@konoufo can you please ensure that the app is granted the privacy permission in your settings and ensure your productId and vencorId are correct?

I'm unable to repro with version 0.16 or 0.15 on macOS 12.6 so perhaps it could be an issue with 12.5.1

So just tried pressing the minus to remove the app from the a11y privacy list, then dragged it back in (at that point it's checked as well). Previously I had tried unchecking and checking the box (which also didn't work)

My Yubikey info image

And Yubiswitch info image

I'm running version 0.16 of Yubiswitch as well.

I feel like there might be an intermittent nature to the problem. Like if I restart, maybe Yubiswitch will work for a while. But ultimately, it stops working again.

Seems like after reinstalling, setting privacy, opening preferences and changing the switch off time, it's working! Will let you know if anything comes up.

I am seeing the same issue. I tried the uninstall/reinstall. It never disables the Yubikey. And I have disabled/enabled keyboard monitoring and accessibility. This in on Ventura. Screen shots attached.

no updates or versions since the last release. issue was reported and still open. any news from maintainers?

Folks, I got working by toggling all those switches off and back on in Ventura. It then started working. YMMV!
