Not a python dev, but took a crack at fixing the Adaptive Scale issue with the latest Forge updates.

Tested and verified in Forge version e2fe29c1 (latest as of November 5, 2024).

I put in a backwards compatibility check that hopefully works, but I wasn't able to test that part locally.
